This bank is one of a variety of metal, mechanical banks that are circulating as collectibles. The original banks are made of cast iron. The replicas are made from other metals. The bottom of the bank is where you can locate the information of where the original cast iron banks were made. The banks from England are antiques and can be worth thousands. The replicas were made as recently as the 1980’s in American, Taiwan and other places. They are made to look like they are old and worn.
