U.S. Army, Beetle Bailey Soldier Toy Figurine
Beetle Bailey's character was developed in the 1950s. It originated in a comic strip that highlighted Beetle Bailey's humorous, undisciplined, lazy character. He was a topic of controversary in Tokyo at one point as he was seen as a potential risk to attitudes of real-life soldiers. This backfired as it resulted in the comic becoming even more popular. Private Bailey was created by Mort Walker (a WWII Veteran) who passed away at the age of 94 in 2018.
