What is the value of my item?

-The value of any item is based on what you can get someone to pay for it.  This varies greatly and can change over time.

-The rule of thumb is to buy items that you would like to own.  There is never a guarantee that someone else will see the same value and/or pay the same price as you

-Items fully intact and in their original boxes may get top dollar by some collectors.  These types of people take pride in owning mint condition finds.

-Antique dealers love to see the history in their pieces.  So normal wear and tear are acceptable battle wounds.

-Search for the right buyer before deciding on a sale price.  Individual collectors may pay more than someone trying to turn a profit by reselling your item.
